Introduction to skin peels
Superficial peels remove some or all of the cells on the epidermis, to reveal noticeably radiant skin, with only a little redness.
Medium peels go deeper into the skin, and are more effective at smoothing out lines, wrinkles and reducing the appearance of scars.
What peels are available at PHI?
The Enerpeel is a mild type of peel which entails less flaking and irritation. Combining specially-formulated solutions that slowly and uniformly absorbs into the skin, the Enerpeel can treat a range of concerns.

The Spectra Peel is not a peel in the traditional sense, but in fact an application of a laser device. Laser energy is used for peeling the superficial layer of skin, while regenerating collagen and creating younger, softer and more pliable skin.
A special carbon lotion is applied on the treatment area and left to dry for 20 minutes. Two rounds of laser are then delivered to the skin. The energy from the laser is absorbed by the skin and carbon particles, causing the inner walls of the pores to reduce in size. The first pass heats the skin to promote collagen production, while the second removes the layer of carbon.

How many session will I need, and how far apart can I have them?
While peels can be applied in isolation, for best results patients may wish to seek a course of treatment. Some peels are suitable to have once weekly, others will have to have longer in between to allow for the skin to heal.
Am I a suitable candidate?
Depending on the intensity of the peel, most skin types are suitable to treat. This can be discussed fully upon examination.
Who will perform the treatment?
The treatment will be performed by one of our Aesthetic Therapists.
What areas can be treated?
Most peels are applied to the face, but other areas can be treated.
Is there any downtime?
Patients may expect some flaking and mild discomfort post-treatment, depending on the intensity of the peel. This should subside after a week or so.
