Introduction to Hyperhidrosis
Excessive sweating, also known as ‘Hyperhidrosis’ can profoundly affect self-consciousness and be a seriously embarrassing condition. When severe sweating interferes with daily activities, it can cause great emotional and psychological upset, especially when it is excessive sweating from the underarms.
Our patients seeking treatment for excessive sweating may be frustrated that anti-perspirant just is not working; they may be constantly worried that people might notice their sweat stains, or they may refrain from buying certain clothes as they fear they will be ruined by their underarm sweat.
Here at PHI Clinic, our cosmetic doctors are highly experienced in all non-surgical procedures, including hyperhidrosis treatment. If you are considering treatment for excessive sweating then the first step is to book in for an initial consultation.
A consultation with the Cosmetic Doctor performing the procedure costs £125
During the consultation you will always meet the consultant performing your treatment, who will discuss the extent of your sweating and all the treatment options with you.
After this, should you choose to undergo your treatment at PHI Clinic, we can assure you that you will be given the greatest levels of care from our team throughout your experience with us.
Botox to treat Excessive sweating
There are a range of treatments for excessive sweating which will be explained to you by the consultant, but a common, non-surgical treatment for hyperhidrosis is to inject the area with botulinum toxin (Botox). This is an effective temporary solution for excessive sweating because botox is a natural protein and obstructs the signals to perspire from reaching the sweat glands.
miraDry provides the most effective treatment for under-arm hyperhidrosis and aims to permanently reduce underarm sweat by 90% in just 2 treatments.
This is a non surgical procedure and requires 2 treatments for lasting results. (All patients may be suitable subject to a full consultation prior to treatment with our Doctor)
Cost of Botox for Hyperhidrosis
A standard botox treatment for hyperhidrosis costs £495. In some cases a higher dose is required which will cost £695
If I have Botox Injections will the results be permanent?
If you are receiving Botox for excessive underarm sweat you must be aware that the results are not permanent. As this condition affects many of our day to day activities our patients still commit to this procedure to improve quality of life. At PHI Clinic we have experienced a range of treatment options but the one we are mostly exited about is miraDry.
miraDry is the only known lasting solution for excessive underarm sweat, providing our patients with a much more cost effective and time effective treatment.
