What Is Precision TX?

Precision TX is a revolutionary procedure that reduces fatty deposits around the neck and face area. It is a minimally-invasive procedure that is being showcased at PHI Clinic, London. No other clinic in London is using this innovative technique. It is a wonderful alternative for those who are not quite ready to go under the knife, but who want fantastic results all the same.

What Happens During the Precision TX Procedure?

Mr Hassan Shaaban will introduce a small laser fibre underneath the skin, which heats the fat cells and starts to dissolve them. He will then change the direction of the laser fibre and direct it towards the skin; the skin heats up to around 45 degrees Celsius, which promotes collagen production.

What Results Can I Expect and When Can I Expect Them?

The removal of fat will be instant, but the production of collagen may take a few weeks, as this is a natural process. Skin tightening, therefore, may take between 6 weeks to 14 months to notice, but there will be a drastic visual result on the day of the procedure. Some patients will continue to see changes up to 12 months after the procedure date.

Is There Any Downtime?

The Precision TX procedure itself is not painful, but one can expect slight discomfort, mild bruising and swelling and drowsiness from the anesthetic (on the day). The patient may also experience some numbness around the treated area – this can last 2-3 weeks after the procedure. For two weeks after the procedure, patients will have to wear pressure garments throughout the day and night, only removing to take a shower or bath. After the first two weeks, though, the patient can change to wearing the garment only at night time. It is advised that patients go back to work and return to usual activity after two weeks.

What Anaesthetic Will Be Used?

Depending on the procedure and the area operated on, either local anaesthetic or IV sedation will be used. This will be discussed fully upon consultation with the surgeon.

As the anaesthetic lasts for up to 2 hours after the procedure, the patient will need to be supervised on the day. The patient will be free to leave on the same day as the procedure though.
