Botox Fillers Poll: The Results Are In

On Wednesday 8th November 2017, we ran our Botox Fillers: True or False poll on our Instagram to find out how much you knew about injectable treatments, and the results are in!

True or false: Botox freezes your face forever False!
False! Botox lasts 3-4 months and when administered by the right doctor, shouldn’t freeze the face, but just smooth an area of fine lines or wrinkles. We always aim to allow for lines when the face is animated, for a more subtle, natural look.
On our poll: 96% of people voted correctly

True or false: Botox is only used to treat wrinkles False
False: Botox can be used to treat a range of problems, including hyperhidrosis, wide jaw, gummy smile, and cobbled chin – it’s not just a wrinkle relaxer! Our doctors all have at least 7 years experience in performing injectable treatments, so you know you’re always in safe hands with every professional at PHI Clinic.
On our Botox and Fillers poll: 90% of people voted correctly

True or false: Botox and fillers are the same thing False
False: Botox and dermal fillers are two different treatments that can be used together or separately to achieve the best results for each patient. While dermal fillers are used to restore the natural contours of the face, or to add volume, Botox is used to temporarily relax a targeted muscle to smooth out the overlying skin.
On our poll: 94% of people voted false correctly

True or false: Dermal fillers are irreversible False again!
False: If you’re not happy with your results, certain dermal fillers can be dissolved using a product called hyaluronidase. Temporary dermal fillers can last for anywhere up to 24 months, depending upon how much mobility an area has – the lips are very expressive and filler there wouldn’t last as long as those in the upper face.
On our poll: 84% of people voted false correctly

True or false: You should only have fillers when fine lines and wrinkles are really bad False again! (Cheeky)
False: Dermal fillers can be used to prevent damage, as well as correct it, as they stimulate collagen production. The best results we see are in patients who come to us with small areas of concern that can be dealt with in a timely manner, in order to reduce damage in the long term.
