With the rise of non-surgical treatments across the UK, it seems like dermal fillers are performed everywhere, so it can be difficult to choose a clinic and practitioner that is right for you with so many options on offer.
Due to the in depth knowledge of facial anatomy that is required to perform dermal fillers, this is a doctor led treatment at PHI Clinic, to ensure patient safety at all times throughout your cosmetic journey. The advice below assumes that you are seeking treatment from a doctor.
When you have an idea of the treatment you want, one of the most helpful resources can be review sites like TrustPilot and RealSelf. These can be really useful in suggesting providers that are experienced in treating your area of concern, or particular clinics that are well equipped for your specific indication.
We have a 9.7 rating on TrustPilot over hundreds of reviews, that are freely available for your perusal here.
What should I look for?
As a general rule, the most important things to look for when searching for a cosmetic injectables provider are clinic reputation, doctor reputation, doctor skill, and products used.
As well as finding reviews for your chosen clinic online, you can check whether they are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), an independent regulator of health care services, for clinics based in England.
If your practitioner is a doctor, they have to be registered with the General Medical Council, which can be checked on the GMC website. Accreditations should be found on your chosen clinic’s website, must include the GMC and CQC, and can also feature the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM), Consulting Room, and for nurses, the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN).
The product your practitioner uses is important, as is their knowledge and skill level with it. Our doctors regularly lecture on both the national and international stage, teaching other professionals the best ways to administer injectable products, and exclusively use Juvederm by Allergan.
At PHI Clinic, we require a 24 period between initial consultation and any treatment performed in order to ensure patient safety. This is a measure on our part to enable every patient to have some time to think about their decision and feel comfortable here in the clinic.
The most important aspect for us is that each individual we see is satisfied throughout their cosmetic journey.
