Cryolipolysis body sculpting is a treatment that has been used for over 7 years in the UK to reduce stubborn pockets of fat across the body. Since the UK launch of CoolSculpting cryolipolysis treatment, a new range of applicators has been released in order to target even more areas. These include the love handles, abdomen, thighs, banana rolls beneath the buttocks, and chin fat.
Cryolipolysis Body Sculpting with Dr Ranj
We recently welcomed Dr Ranj Singh into the clinic as part of the Save Money: Lose Weight television series on ITV. He was treated by one of our aesthetic therapists using one cycle of CoolSculpting on his love handles. After a single session of CoolSculpting, Dr Ranj lost 3 cm around his abdomen! You can watch the entire show on the ITV Hub here, and follow us on Instagram to keep up to date with his results, as well as find informative stories and before and afters.
How Does Cryolipolysis Body Sculpting Work?
CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis technology to reduce areas of stubborn fat. Cryolipolysis is a method of targeting fat reduction that lowers the temperature of tissue to approximately -9 degrees in order to crystalise fat cells (called lipocytes), which have a higher freezing rate than other cells. This means that no other structures are damaged during treatment, but the lipocytes are damaged and then flushed out by the body’s natural functions in a process called apoptosis.
Results are lasting, as long as a healthy lifestyle is followed that includes a balanced diet and regular exercise regime. While fat cells cannot ‘grow back’, they are capable of expanding indefinitely if calorie intake regularly exceeds calories burned.
