The Harley Street frown lines treatment of choice at PHI Clinic is primarily injectable-based, but the exact product used will depend on the needs of the individual. While looking permanently angry can be a great tool for some people, and there are certainly individuals who wear their frown lines with pride, but there are also those who would prefer not to have these definite wrinkles between the brows. Also called glabella lines, frown lines are aptly named as they occur when the brow is furrowed in a disapproving expression.
The type of treatment used will depend on the nature of the lines being treated, whether they are dynamic or static. Dynamic lines are visible during expression, but aren’t seen when the face is at rest, whereas static lines are visible even when the face is at rest, and may look ‘etched in’ and appear deeper.
The Harley Street frown lines treatment
Botox for dynamic lines – Dynamic lines are best treated using wrinkle relaxing injections, which are used on specific muscles to create a smooth appearance to the overlying skin.
Dermal Filler for static lines – When lines become static, Botox will not be effective in treating them, and dermal fillers should be used to revolumise the area for a wrinkle-free look.
Botox and Dermal Fillers can be used in conjunction with one another for a complete treatment, but your practitioner will advise you on the best course of action.
Laser Resurfacing – For those who may prefer a needle-free alternative, laser resurfacing is suitable for a range of concerns, as the intensity of treatment can be varied for a truly bespoke procedure. In one session, a number of indications can be treated, including fine lines and wrinkles like those between the brows.
