Injectable Moisturiser
Our injectable moisturiser at PHI Clinic is called Volite, made by Allergan’s Juvederm. The product is known as the ‘6-month moisturiser’ by beauty bloggers and cosmetic injectors across the world, though its effects are known to last for 12-18 months following treatment. Volite can be used on the face, hands, and even the neck to improve skin quality.
Injectable Moisturiser
Volite, similar to other Juvederm products, contains hyaluronic acid (HA). HA occurs naturally in the skin where it acts as a cushioning and moisturising agent that helps keep it firm and refreshed. The HA used in Volite is also called NASHA, or Non-Animal Stabilised Hyaluronic Acid which is a synthetic form of the naturally occurring substance.
We recommend having top ups every 6-9 months to maintain the effects of treatment for fresh, hydrated skin all year round.
Will Volite work for me?
A suitable candidate for Volite would be someone who is beginning to notice some fine lines and wrinkles, a slight laxity of the skin, or just some dryness. These all happen naturally as we age and vital proteins in our skin break down, but thanks to new treatments, such as this injectable moisturiser, the effects can be limited for healthy skin.
Volite can also be used as a ‘quick fix’ treatment in the winter months to combat the effects of the season, which usually brings with it dry, rough, and sensitive skin.
Who Performs Volite?
Volite should only be carried out by a trained professional, at PHI Clinic this would be one of our doctors or nurse injectors. Every new patient must have an initial consultation with a clinician prior to any treatment. This allows you to express your expectations and desires for treatment to your practitioner and gives them an opportunity to assess you for the concerns you raise.
