One of Allergan’s newer treatments, Volite is lauded as the ‘six month moisturiser’ for its hydrating effects on the skin of the face, neck, decolletage, and even the hands. It is an injectable treatment, with immediate results that last for between 6 and 9 months after just one session.
Series of micro-injections
Before treatment begins, your practitioner will apply a topical anaesthetic to your face, to minimise any discomfort, then mark out the areas that will be injected in a grid format. The treatment itself involves a series of micro-injections across the focus area (most commonly the face), to introduce the smooth Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based product into the skin.
HA is a naturally occurring cushioning that we lose as we age, and works to attract and retain water to address a number of skin problems, including dullness, dryness, fine lines, crepiness, and acne scarring. The deep hydration provided gives a boost to skin, with deep hydration being the main result of treatment.
