Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a popular procedure in the world of injectables that most commonly uses hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to change the shape of the nose. At PHI Clinic, we use Juvederm fillers, most usually Juvederm Voluma, to address a bumpy, crooked, or curved nose without the need for invasive surgery.
As it is an augmentation procedure, a non-surgical rhinoplasty can only add volume, though this can have the effect of giving a smaller appearance when the nose is straightened. During the short treatment, which can take as little as 20 minutes, the Juvederm dermal filler is introduced via a needle into the nose, most usually in the bridge or tip. This can be guided and then moulded into the desired place to affect the angle of the tip, the shape of the bridge or dorsal hump, and to smooth or correct asymmetry for a straighter nose.
Results are noticeable immediately but will continue to improve over the course of a few weeks and last for up to 24 months, though anecdotal evidence has shown results that have lasted for as long as 3 years.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty : dermal fillers
The dermal fillers used in non-surgical rhinoplasty at PHI are made of a synthetic form of a naturally occurring sugar called HA, which works to attract and retain water in the skin for a plumping or volumising effect. When used for nose augmentations, a trained professional will inject a small amount into the target area, which will give results straight away, though these will develop as the HA settles and bonds with water. Because of this development process, our doctors will always prefer to under treat at first, to avoid an exaggerated or extreme look.
We recommend booking a follow-up appointment with your clinician at around 1 month after treatment to discuss your results, at which point you are welcome to request more product should you feel you need it, though this is at the discretion of the practitioner you see.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is the perfect alternative for traditional rhinoplasty, without the downtime and potential risks posed by surgery. Some people also use this treatment as a precursor to surgery, to gain a clearer idea of what surgical results may look like.
