More and more people are looking to non-surgical alternatives to get rid of a raised dorsal hump, whether they fear surgery, don’t want the downtime, or don’t feel ready to go under the knife. Between 2015 and 2016, the number of nose job procedures performed in the UK rose by 14%, from 3728 to 4205 and with non surgical options, this is expected to rise.
Treating conditions like a raised dorsal hump
Non-surgical rhinoplasty at PHI Clinic is an injectables treatment, where dermal filler is introduced into specific areas to affect the shape and appearance of the nose. It can be used to treat a bump on the nose, or raised dorsal hump, asymmetry, and smaller aesthetic concerns like a droopy tip. More and more, we see patients who are opting for the procedure as a precursor to traditional rhinoplasty, to gain an idea of the results they may see following surgery.
For injectable based procedures like this, we use Juvederm dermal fillers, backed up by a plethora of clinical studies. It is also the personal product of choice by our medical director, Dr Tapan Patel, who has launched Juvederm products to doctors as far afield as India, and regularly lectures on how to effectively use them for natural results. It is hyaluronic acid based (HA), meaning it replicates a naturally occurring sugar to retain water for the filled effect. Its HA base also means that it can be reversed in the event that a patient does not like the results, using a product called hyaluronidase.
Consultation and pricing
No quote for non-surgical rhinoplasty will ever be the same, as every patient has different needs, as well as cases of varying complexity. We advise that prices will start from £750, but will depend on factors like the performing practitioner and how much product is needed. This will be discussed and laid out in an initial consultation with your clinician when creating your bespoke treatment plan. This consultation is your opportunity to ask any questions you have, express your result expectations, and discuss your medical history before treatment.
