What is a keto diet with Dimagra®?
Dimagra® is a weight loss plan that induces ketosis to help you lose weight promptly but, ultimately, safely. Ketosis is a metabolic state where the liver burns body fat in order to provide fuel for the body when there is restricted access to glucose.
The plan consists of a high protein, low calorie diet with protein shakes and vitamin and mineral supplements. It reduces fat mass and tones the body without hindering your muscle mass. Patients are able to lose up to 8-10% of their initial body weight with the 21 day course, remodelling their physique with a healthy reduction in size.
What does it involve?
The Dimagra® plan consists of two steps: An Intensive step that lasts 21 days, followed by a Maintenance step that lasts 42 days.
The Intensive 21 day step consists of an intake of a specified amount of protein, a near-complete elimination of carbohydrates, and a reduction in lipid intake. With this, the body will go through various processes until ketogenesis is activated: where organisms produce ketone bodies by breaking down fatty acids and ketogenic amino acids.
The 42 day Maintenance step is much less intensive, consisting of the intake of a specific amount of protein, the reintroduction of low-GI carbohydrates and a reduced intake of lipids. The metabolism is rebalanced through the increased daily ration of calories.
