Technical Information
Genesis laser is carried out first, which is a laser procedure that uses micro-pulsed delivery to promote superficial collagen production, improving the appearance of wrinkles, signs of ageing and mild redness.
This is then followed by the Tixel skin resurfacing treatment, which uses thermal mechanical action to create microchannels in the skin to stimulate deeper collagen and elastin. This remodels the skin to improve textural issues such as fine lines, wrinkles and scarring, as well as promoting skin tightening. The Tixel can be non-ablative or ablative, meaning the level of intensity can be changed depending on the area of concern and desired result.
Tixel is particularly useful for the thin delicate skin around the eye area which often gets left out of other laser treatments.
Following the Tixel, Growth factors are applied to the treatment area. Growth factors are proteins that promote the production of collagen, elastin and increased blood flow. This allows them to be absorbed through the microchannels made by the Tixel, to get into the deep layers of the skin to accelerate healing, promoting new and healthy tissue.
