Introduction to SkinPen
It’s no secret that as we age our skin naturally loses elasticity, creating the appearance of jowls, fine lines and wrinkles.
The first FDA-cleared microneedling device on the market, introducing SkinPen. A 12 point microneedle device clinically proven to improve the appearance of skin and tone, by encouraging the skin’s natural repair system. The SkinPen device creates temporary small microscopic channels in your skin at a depth of 0.25mm to 2.5mm, blood rushes towards the surface of the skin and the body’s natural reaction starts to repair itself. This stimulates the production of collagen leaving patients with firmer, smoother skin to create a youthful and rejuvenated look and in some cases also helps reduce pigmentation.

Technical Information
What to expect
A numbing agent will be used first on the skin to help reduce any discomfort. Skinfuse Lift HG will then be used to protect the skin against friction and abrasion. The procedure should take around 30 minutes, and we recommend you have 3 appointments. Temporary redness of the skin is common. Expect potential flaking, peeling, swelling and bruising around the nose area for up to a couple of days after the procedure, but this will vary person to person.
Aftercare
After your appointment, avoid using any products other than SkinFuse, provided by your practitioner. You will receive a gentle cleanser, a vitamin C moisturiser and full coverage sunscreen. Using the wrong products after can cause more harm than good, as ingredients can hinder the body’s healing process. You should avoid touching the area after treatment, and avoid direct sunlight.

Frequently Asked Questions
Procedures take between 30-60 minutes but may be longer depending on the area treated to achieve the best result for you.
Little to no downtime is required and you can return back to daily activities, as long as you avoid direct sunlight.
We recommend patients receive 3 treatments, and we advise these 4-6 weeks apart.
Building collagen takes time so within your treatment plan we may recommend further treatment to see effective results. With each successive treatment you’ll get a better build of collagen, and after your last session, results can last for up to 6 months.
As it is a minimally-invasive procedure, you should only feel mild discomfort, and a numbing cream is helped to further reduce this.
