Dermal Filler FAQs : Areas That Can Be Treated
Does filler help dark circles and puffiness around the eyes?
In some cases, dermal filler can be used to correct under eye concerns like dark circles, but you will always need to see a doctor for a consultation prior to treatment to assess your individual needs.
Do chin fillers also include the jawline?
The chin and jawline can be treated together, but these are two separate areas. At PHI, we always address concerns holistically, taking your whole face into account for balanced results.
Does filler help under eye wrinkles?
Yes! Dermal filler can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles under the eyes.
How long are lips swollen after lip treatment?
Swelling usually goes down after around 24-48 hours, but some can experience this for as long as 5 days.

Are there any allergic reactions to filler?
Allergic reactions to filler is very uncommon, but they can happen. If you have specific concerns about reacting to dermal filler, you should discuss this in a consultation with a trained professional.
Does it permanently change the shape/plumpness of your lips if you remove the product?
Lots of people seem to think that lip fillers will inflate the lips, leaving them saggy when the product breaks down or is removed. This is simply not true – the filler we use is made up of HA, a sugar that attracts water for a volumising effect.
How long does it take for lip fillers to settle?
Everybody is different, so how quickly fillers settle will vary from person to person. We usually recommend that Juvederm will settle at around 3-4 weeks following treatment.

Can chin fillers be used to make the chin appear shorter?
Our doctors are experts at using dermal fillers holistically to balance the face, including reducing the apparent length of the chin. Please note that we would need to assess your face in a consultation before we could say whether this treatment would be effective for you as an individual.
