The skill level of your practitioner is understandably important, and can dramatically influence how much you pay for lip fillers. Because cosmetic medicine is largely unregulated in the UK, there aren’t strict guidelines on who can perform the treatment, meaning there is a huge disparity in skill levels of clinicians, ranging from board-certified plastic surgeons to beauticians with minimal training.
It is really important to check the qualifications of your aesthetician, to ensure that they have the knowledge required to perform the treatment safely, as well as to a high standard for good results. We always recommend being treated by a doctor, who is trained in using needles and cannulas safely, minimising risk, managing complications, and has studied facial anatomy in depth for effective results. Be aware that if your lip enhancement cost seems too good to be true, it probably is.
