As we age, our skin goes through wear and tear. Repeated facial expressions can cause forehead wrinkles, as well as lifestyle factors like smoking, drinking, a high-sugar diet, and overexposure to UV rays – which can damage the skin.
These factors hamper the skin’s ability to ‘bounce back’ from expression, leading to wrinkles occurring early and becoming deeper. The two main areas of concern are the horizontal lines above the eyebrows, and the vertical lines between the eyebrows, but our treatments at PHI Clinic look to reduce forehead wrinkles.
Reduce Forehead Wrinkles With Botox®
If you’re looking to reduce forehead wrinkles, and are considering Botox®, our practitioners at PHI Clinic are highly experienced in administering anti-wrinkle injections. Botox® is a branded form of botulinum toxin, which many mistake as a general term for the treatment. Because of this, many practitioners falsely claim that they use the branded product.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) first cleared this particular brand of botulinum toxin in 1989, making it the first approved form of wrinkle injection in the world to target wrinkles and fine lines. These injections are a natural, purified protein that temporarily relaxes facial muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles. Results can last for 3-4 months, and are visible 5-7 days post-treatment.
We see this as an ongoing treatment at PHI Clinic, and as such, recommend that you visit us for a top-up approximately every 4 months.
Dermal Filler : Juvederm® Range By Allergan
Dermal fillers are another option for those who want to reduce forehead wrinkles, suited to static (those visible even when the face is at rest) and dynamic lines. The dermal fillers we use are from the Juvederm® Vycross range by Allergan, and last for 18 to 24 months, with results noticeable immediately following treatment. As part of the Vycross range, your practitioner should use Volift to reduce forehead wrinkles, as it works to correct medium to deep lines, with the aim of rejuvenation.
Hyaluronic acid based injectable, dermal fillers plump and firm the skin, thanks to the water holding molecule that stimulates the production of collagen and maintains elasticity, making it perfect for filling in lines and wrinkles.
Laser Resurfacing Treatment
Laser resurfacing is one of the treatment options we can offer that helps reduce forehead wrinkles, by encouraging healthy collagen growth, to soften lines. Using a CO2 fractional laser, our practitioners can deliver concentrated pulses of light to the skin, removing the top layers, which make wrinkles and lines fade away. During the healing process, new skin emerges, which appears taut and smoother, leading to an overall healthier and refreshed appearance.
Due to the heat energy caused during treatment, the device also stimulates collagen production, to help firm up the skin.
Multi Award Clinic in London
As the UK has very few regulations around Botox injections and dermal fillers, there are many injectors out there who are sub-standard and use cheap products that are compromised or not safe.
