Dimagra is a weight loss plan with a difference; it helps you lose weight quickly but safely, reducing fat mass and toning the body without affecting muscle mass. Patients can lose as much as 8-10% of body weight in a 21 day course, transforming the silhouette with a significant reduction in inches.
It also targets visceral fat, which is linked to an increased risk of developing certain diseases, so it can improve your overall health as well as helping you slim down.Book consultation
This weight loss treatment has been developed over 20 years by the Italian manufacturer, Promopharma. Dimagra is a ketogenic plan that induces ketosis to achieve weight loss. Ketosis is a metabolic state wherein the liver burns body fat to provide fuel for the body when there is limited access to glucose. The plan itself consists of a high protein, low calorie diet with protein shakes and vitamin and mineral supplements.
The supplements are added to water daily to kickstart the metabolism and provide the body with vital nutrients. The first step lasts 21 days and consists of an intake of a specific amount of proteins, almost total elimination of carbohydrates, and reduced lipids (fat). There is also a maintenance plan which is less intensive and lasts 42 days.

Dimagra is suitable for those who are overweight or obese, with a BMI of between 27 and 33. This diet plan is suitable for vegetarians and coeliacs. However, it is not suitable for those suffering with kidney or liver disease, Type I Diabetes, neoplasia, severe heart disease, or severe psychiatric disorders, those who are under 14, over 70, or who are pregnant/breastfeeding.
Dimagra is prescribed by Dr Tapan Patel here at PHI Clinic, 102 Harley Street, London.
Unlike other diets, Dimagra provides a fast and noticeable reduction in inches, especially around the waist, hips, thighs, and buttocks. Muscle mass is maintained as only fat is lost, and hunger is decreased.
With a ketogenic diet like Dimagra (high protein, low carbohydrate, low fat) the body uses up the existing glucose (sugar) it has. This reduces glycaemia, which in turn reduces how much insulin your body secretes. Your body then uses liver glycogen, converted into glucose. After around 12-24 hours, these reserves are depleted, Liver Gluconeogenesis begins, and ketogenesis is activated. This means your body uses ketone bodies, which are produced by an increased metabolism, or break down, of fatty acids.
