Introduction to ageing and damaged skin
Arguably the most prominent concerns with ageing is wrinkles, facial sagging and skin laxity, scarring and blemishes, sun damage and pigmentation. While there are a lot of cost effective ways to target and mask the appearance of these issues, it is important to understand what is causing them, and in doing so, you can actually eliminate or improve the concern itself. Offering a myriad of anti-ageing treatments, both surgical and non-surgical, at PHI Clinic, we aim to consult and diagnose the indication, and treat it accordingly. We always take before and after images to ensure accurate findings after treatment.
With over 45 lasers and non-surgical devices, as well as an extensive list of therapies, PHI Clinic houses the most varied selection and option in the UK, if not Europe. This means that we can treat a wider range of conditions, offering multiple choices for all our patients.
We believe the best way to treat skin conditions and the signs of ageing, is to not only use treatments and therapies, but to combine this with a good skincare regime that will excel the result of treatment, and improve the overall health of your skin at the right price.
What is LASEMD?
Uniquely designed for Cosmeceutical Delivery System (CDS). Combining key ingredients with the specially-designed CDS laser, the products are full absorbed by the skin, offering maximum delivery to restore, repair and rejuvenate your skin.
The system is engineered to provide an ideal environment for the cosmeceuticals to speed healing from the inside out. Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C is a naturally-occurring antioxidant that encourages healthier skin by stimulating collagen fibres and strengthening them. Use to protect and reduce the signs of sun damage, ascorbic acid is a key ingredient for any anti-ageing regime. Retinol Retinol, or vitamin A, is proven to reverse the signs of ageing. It improves the skin by creating a better epidermal basal level. Tranexamic Acid Systematically used to help wound recovery, TA helps for those who have experienced trauma or have undergone surgery or sorts. It can also address conditions such as melanoma. CK CK contains peptides from Human Cord Blood Cell Conditioned Media, supporting the collagen and elastin fibres’ structure. It can also help promote hair regrowth. Resveratrol With a 95% purity level, resveratrol is a natural polyphenol. It helps to prevent UV-related skin concerns, such as photoaging.
How many session will I need, and how far apart?
The best results will be achieved through completing 5 treatment sessions. You will require a consultation prior to treatment, however, to assess the total number of session needed to gain desired and optimum results.
Am I a suitable candidate?
This treatment is ideal for those seeking more punch from their skincare programme, without resorting to more invasive or intense skin procedures. As a precaution, we do not carry out this treatment for those who are pregnant or who are lactating or breast feeding. It is also a great treatment for those seeking a brighter complexion, reversal of skin damage and an alternative without downtime.
Who will perform the treatment?
PHI Clinic’s highly-trained aestheticians will carry out the procedure for you, after consulting you and completing a personalised treatment programme.
What can be treated? – Wrinkles – Ageing – Dull complexion – Melasma – Pigmentation – Skin laxity – Hair loss – Scarring – Damaged skin Is there any downtime? There is no downtime associated with this treatment. You may resume you regular activities at right after treatment.
What can I expect after the treatment?
Results start to surface within a few days, but your skin will continue to improve and repair for many weeks after your treatment. It is recommended, on average, that patients have 5 sessions. You may see some slight pinkness in the treated area, as LASEMD combines laser with the ampoules.
Is it better to have LASEMD than other procedures, such as laser or injectables?
Until we assess you in person, there is no telling what treatment would be best for you. PHI Clinic will always carry out a thorough consultation in advance to treatment, to ensure you receive the best treatment. Frequently, patients may benefit from just the one treatment, but we do also recommend combined treatment in some cases. In addition to what will give you the best result, we also assess your personal requirements and lifestyle. If you are scared of needles or would prefer not to undergo intense skin treatments with downtime, we will always take this into consideration and tailor the skin programme around you.
We provide excellent treatment and skincare for everyone, working with preference and budget.
Can I continue using my usual skincare?
We advise that patients stop using their regular skincare products, as it may be contraindicative or detrimental to the results achieved with LASEMD. It is essential that all patients – new or existing – have a skincare consultation before commencing treatment, so that there is opportunity to ask in depth questions, and to have a full assessment of what will work for your skin and your presented concern. As we have a wide variety of treatments available for anti-ageing, we may suggest an alternative treatment to LASEMD, as we will always consult you and recommend on what will get you the best result and what will work well for you.
Do I require anaesthetic for this procedure?
There is no need for anaesthetic with this treatment, as it is non-invasive and non-surgical. The treatment itself is well-tolerated and there are very limited side-effects or downtime with LASEMD.
