Botox works by blocking the nerves responsible for activating your sweat glands. Normally, your nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises. In people with hyperhidrosis, however, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive and can be triggered at any moment and quite often for no apparent reason.

It is a non-invasive treatment that uses electromagnetic energy to target sweat glands and destroy them.
Local anaesthesia is used and the skin is cooled during this hour-long procedure so it is relatively comfortable for the patient throughout. It can be repeated 2-3 times for optimal effect but most patients find that their first treatment results in up to an 80% reduction in sweating and thus they do not feel they need subsequent treatments.
The treatment results in blissfully long-lasting effects as the terminated sweat glands do not grow back and are not replaced by the body.
