What a non-surgical nose job can change

A non-surgical nose job reshapes the nose using temporary dermal fillers rather than surgery. Small, precise amounts of hyaluronic acid are placed along the bridge and at the tip to smooth a dorsal bump, straighten a profile, or lift a tip that drops when you smile.

The photographs below show real results from non-surgical nose job in London at PHI Clinic. Look at them in profile rather than head on, because that is where the change is.

What it cannot do is make a nose smaller. Filler adds volume, so it can camouflage a bump by building either side of it and it can correct asymmetry, but it cannot reduce bone or narrow the nose itself. If that is what you want, surgery is the honest answer and we will say so.

What to expect on the day

The appointment is short. The injection itself takes around 15 to 30 minutes, and most of the appointment is assessment and planning rather than treatment.

It is more comfortable than people expect. The Juvéderm products we use contain local anaesthetic, and a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand.

There is almost no downtime. Mild swelling or redness can last a day or two, and most people go back to work the same day. That is one of the reasons this is such a popular option for people who cannot take time off.

You see the change immediately. Unlike surgery, where the result takes months to settle, the effects of filler are visible as you sit up. The final appearance settles over about two weeks as the product integrates.

Results last around 12 to 18 months, and often longer here than elsewhere on the face, because the nose moves far less than the lips or the area around the mouth. It is temporary, and hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if you change your mind.

Why the nose needs an experienced practitioner

This is the part worth reading before you book anywhere.

Alongside the area between the brows, the nose is consistently reported in the medical literature as one of the highest-risk sites on the face for filler. The blood vessels here connect to the supply of the retina, and product placed into one of them can cause serious complications, including visual ones.

These events are uncommon. They are not theoretical, which is why safety protocols matter more here than almost anywhere else: detailed knowledge of the anatomy, small volumes placed slowly, a medical practitioner who recognises the early signs, and hyaluronidase on site ready to use without delay.

Every non-surgical rhinoplasty at our Harley Street clinic is carried out by a GMC-registered doctor, in a practice led by our Medical Director, Dr Tapan Patel. Given the risks involved, the experience of the person holding the syringe matters more than anything else about this treatment.

Book a consultation

Photographs show what the treatment can do. They cannot show what it will do for your nose, because the starting point is different on every face.

Book a consultation appointment with our team at PHI Clinic. Your doctor will assess the shape of your nose in profile and from the front, explain which changes are realistic, and give you honest recommendations, including when the answer is that surgery would serve you better.

We leave at least 24 hours between consultation and treatment, so you have time to consider the information you have been given away from the clinic. Follow-up appointments are part of how we work, not an extra.

For more on products, pricing and what the treatment involves, see our non-surgical nose job in London page, or contact us with any questions.
