Permanent Sweating Solution

Permanent Sweating Solution London 1920x1280

So many people are searching for a permanent sweating solution, with an estimated 3 to 5% of the population now suffering from excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis. This condition affects people all year round, but can be particularly bad in the summer months, when temperatures soar.

miraDry - permanent sweating treatment london 690x960

miraDry is one of the initial treatments we introduced when we first opened in 2014, and since then our clinicians have performed hundreds, if not thousands, of these procedures. Every member of our staff is highly trained and experienced in performing the treatments we offer, and regularly attend external and internal training days to improve how safe and effective each of our treatments is.

It works by aiming controlled pulses of electromagnetic energy at the sweat glands in the armpits to eliminate them. This non-surgical treatment has minimal downtime, and is FDA approved as a clinical solution to excessive sweating. We usually recommend two courses of treatment, three months apart for optimal results, with supplemental treatments after a year if needed.

The permanent sweating solution

miraDry is tipped as a permanent sweating solution, though results will vary from person to person. You should discuss your expectations for treatment with your clinician in an in depth consultation prior to the procedure, but we advise that most patients will see an immediate reduction in sweating following treatment with lasting results, though some patients may require top up treatments to top up its effects.

As well as addressing wrinkles and fine lines, Botox can also be used to temporarily reduce sweating. When introduced via a needle into the armpit, botulinum toxin injections have a similar effect to MiraDry, improving hyperhidrosis for around 3-4 months.

Botox can also be used in the hands, feet, and face for palmar, plantar, and craniofacial hyperhidrosis, respectively.
