Dr Tapan Patel is our Medical Director and Owner at 102 Harley Street, and he is renowned for his knowledge and pursuit to find the most advanced methods and technology. We have several methods to treat excessive sweating
Botox for Hyperhidrosis
While Botulinum Toxin for hyperhidrosis is not necessarily a new technique, it is tried and tested, offering patients results with a longevity of between 6-8 months. Botox treatment for the underarms requires slightly more product than facial features, but this method of treating excessive sweating is much more cost-effective than other hyperhidrosis solutions on the market.
The Benefits of Botulinum Toxin
The benefits of having Botox for excessive sweating, is that it can treat more areas – that’s right; it’s not just for the underarms. Palms, feet, the back and other areas can be treated but be sure to check with your practitioner which areas you are looking to treat.
Beyond the injection point, there is minimal invasion involved, and also absolutely no surgery. This means no scars, no anaesthetic, no significant downtime and less side-effects.
miraDry for Sweating
In addition to botulinum toxin, PHI Clinic was the first UK practice to offer miraDry treatment. It utilises microwave technology to heat and obliterate the sweat glands, non-surgically. The majority of patients require 1-2 sessions of treatment in a lifetime, and will continue to see a marked improvement over the course.
The Benefits of miraDry
As we were the first clinic to house this revolutionary device, our clinical staff are highly-knowledgeable, skilled and well-versed with this device and the aftercare required for optimum results. We have treated a significant number of patients to date.
The treatment is proven to kill the sweat glands, and as sweat glands to not regenerate, the results are lasting. While there are a few side-effects associated with treatment, including sensitivity in the treated area, numbness and swelling, these soon subside and leave patients feeling more confident and happier with the reduction of sweat achieved.
