Cryolipolysis

Introduction
Stubborn fatty deposits can be a source of contention for many, and can be hard to shift due to genetic predisposition towards fat cell distribution. A popular non-surgical option with minimal downtime is cryolipolysis.
This non-invasive treatment can be used to treat the abdomen, “saddle bags”, male breast, arms, inner and outer thighs, and flanks (love handles) to improve the contours of the body. Although you may experience some bruising or swelling, cryolipolysis does not damage the skin.
To find out if cryolipolysis is the right treatment for you, book your no obligation consultation at PHI Clinic with one of our highly trained clinicians today.

Technical Information
Cryolipolysis is an alternative to liposuction, a fat reduction treatment. With FDA approval, it is also called “fat freezing” and works to destroy fat cells using controlled cooling to reshape the contours of the body. Subcutaneous fat is cooled to temperatures between -5°C and +5°C, which causes targeted cell death. The body then naturally processes and flushes these fat cells from the body.
Results from this are apparent from 3 weeks after treatment, but optimal results are seen around 3 months after. This process of freezing removes fat cells over time, which leads to a reduction of the subcutaneous fat layer.
