Introduction to Endolift® Skin Tightening

The Endolift ® device has been around for a while, but recently brought to the UK and is a loved treatment by medical director Dr Tapan Patel and Dr Priya Verma. Endolift ® is a skin tightening and fat reduction treatment, targeting sagging skin along the lower jawline, abdominal skin laxity, cellulite on the buttocks and Inner thigh and arm (bingo wings) skin tightening and fat melting.

Endolift® Results
Outcomes are also visible immediately, and just one treatment is needed, though for even greater results your clinician may recommend a further session or a combination treatment plan with another device. No anaesthetic is required during treatment as treatment is virtually painless, but a small controlled anaesthetic can be provided if necessary, however this will be assessed on an individual basis.
As treatment doesn’t include any incision, downtime is drastically reduced as there is no scarring and most patients find that they can resume back to normal activities within hours.

Technical Information
During treatment, tiny micro-optical fibres around the same size as a hair (200-300 microns) are inserted into the skin, in the hypodermis. These fibres create microchannels that act as a light path in the skin, allowing the device to transmit laser energy more effectively to target water and fat in the body.
Throughout treatment, laser energy heats the tissue to encourage new collagen production as well as improving the metabolic functions of the extracellular matrix, which is the network that provides physical and biochemical support to the surrounding cells. This means that the results are long-lasting and continue to improve over time. The device can also provide a degree of fat removal for small pockets of fat in the face or around the body, so the device not only removes fat but will tighten the skin.

A suitable candidate for Endolift is someone who has mild to moderate skin laxity on the face or body. This treatment is suitable for all skin types.

Areas that can be treated include the lower eyelid, mid and lower face, mandibular border (jaw), under the chin, neck, inner arm, abdomen, inner thigh, knees, and buttocks for cellulite.
The Endolift has minimal to no downtime, and we recommend that patients are able to return to work or normal activities just a few hours after treatment.
As a skin tightening treatment, endolift® minimally invasive with little to no downtime required. Patients report little to no pain throughout treatment, but in certain cases a small amount of controlled aesthetic may be provided for patient comfort.
